Reservation Rules

Full pre-payment of all camping fees and reservation charges is required to secure a reservation. Reservation holders must be at least 16 years of age and are responsible for the actions of all party members.

Reservations for campsites can be made up to four (4) months in advance of your arrival date. If your reservation is made within the first week of this four-month window (the "restricted booking period"), you are not permitted to make changes to your arrival date. For example, the restricted booking period for an August 1st arrival date is April 1-7.

Reservations are not transferable. Any reservation holders found to be transferring or selling their reservations to another party, risk their reservation being cancelled without a refund. If a customer can no longer use their reservation, they are encouraged to cancel it so that any unused user fees that are not forfeited as a penalty, can be automatically refunded to the credit card that was used to make the original reservation.

Customers will be required to provide one or two permit holder names that cannot be changed at a later date. At least one of the permit holders must be present during the stay and identification may be required to keep the reservation valid.

Check-in time is 1 PM. Check-out time is 11 AM.

Refunds are not given for an eviction, vacating your campsite early, or inclement weather.

User Fees and Reservation Charges

Camping fees vary by park. Please refer to individual park webpages or the fee schedule [PDF] for details. Camping fees include parking for one vehicle. Additional vehicle fees can be prepaid in conjunction with a reservation (subject to park availability).

You can have up to 3 reservations in your cart; however, each reservation is processed separately. A reservation charge applies to each reservation in addition to camping fees and other park-user fees.

All reservation charges apply fully to Seniors and Persons with Disabilities

Accepted payment types include: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Visa Debit, and Mastercard Debit.

Charge Website Reservation Call Centre Reservation
Reservation Charges (non-refundable)
$6.00 per campsite, per night, to a maximum of $18.00 (plus tax) $6.00 per campsite, per night, to a maximum of $18.00 (plus tax)
+ $5.00 call centre surcharge, per reservation.

Camping Party

A camping party is defined as: 1– 4 persons 16 years of age or older and up to a maximum of 8 persons including children 15 years of age and younger. Only one camping party per campsite is permitted, unless otherwise authorized in the park.

For a detailed definition of a “camping party,” please view our park user fees page.

Camping reservation holders are responsible for the actions of all camping party members and any visitors to their campsite.

Double Sites

Some campgrounds offer double sites that are specifically designed to allow two camping parties to camp in close proximity to one another. A double site still provides the same facilities as individual sites, but most double sites share a driveway and are more open to one another than single campsites.

When making a reservation through Discover Camping, double sites must be booked together until 1 week prior to the arrival date. If at that time, the sites remain available, the two sites can be booked individually.

Only one reservation charge applies for the two sites when reserved together, but separate reservation charges apply when the sites are reserved individually.

More information about the change in the double site policy [PDF]
