Northwestern Wildlife Capability Atlas

Scope

The Northwestern British Columbia Wildlife Project area is located in the northwestern portion of the province and occupies 185,162 square km or about 18% of the province. It extends from the BC/Alaska border in the west and south of the BC/Yukon border (60th parallel) east to the Liard Plain and Northern Rocky Mountain Trench and south to the Nass Basin, Southern Skeena Mountains and Manson Plateau (56 parallel). The project area contains all or part of: the Alsek, Boundary, Icefield and ranges, Cassiar, Kechika, Ominica and Skeena mountains, Tagish and Tahltan highlands, Kwady, Manson, Stikine and Teslin plateaus, Teslin and Liard and Nass basins, and Northern Rocky Mountain Trench.
